Washington DC Intern Housing, Meal Plan, & Transportation
Our summer housing facilities in Washington DC offer the convenience and comfort necessary for an easy transition into living in the big city. The DC housing is located on George Washington University’s Campus in the heart of the Nation's Capital. Minutes from Embassy Row, the White House and Georgetown, participants will have easy access to historic Washington DC. The housing will enable participants to experience contemporary living in fully-furnished apartments which have been designed for college students in the trendy Foggy-Bottom area filled with restaurants, shopping, and entertainment.

Washington, DC Summer Internship Program Housing:
Washington, DC summer programs will be housed at George Washington University’s Potomac Hall. Our Washington, DC Housing is a top-notch GWU residence located within the popular Foggy Bottom area. It’s an attractive location with subway entries, grocery stores, eateries and student hangout spots just down the block. Rooms are doubles with adjoining bathroom. Each room offers free wireless internet access and Ethernet connections. Participants will have access to GWU’s amenities, including the study lounge, TV lounge and on-site laundry facility. The hall is located 4 blocks from the White House, 3 blocks from the Foggy Bottom Metro Station, 1 block from the International Monetary Fund and World Bank.
The meal plan will provide students with breakfast and dinner Monday through Friday. Some meals during weekend activities and events will also be covered. We utilized a flexible meal card system that allows students to use their meal cards at a variety of vendors. In 2014, our meal partners included Whole Foods, Subway, Carvings Deli, One Fish Two Fish (Chinese Restaurant) and more.
Each participant will receive a Metro Card to get to and from work each day, as well as transportation throughout the program for the planned weekend events. The staff members will help you learn to utilize the transit until you feel comfortable.
*Not included in the program is: Transportation to and from the program.
24/7 Onsite Staff Assistance
On-site staff is dedicated to delivering a high-quality experience to enable both your professional and personal growth. Staff members will serve as your program guides, leading you to program events as you become accustomed to the city. They will be available at all times to ensure your summer in the city is as safe as possible.
